Alstom and FGC select the projects of IED Barcelona students

21.12.11

BIT and Deconstrucció projects from four IED Barcelona Escola Superior de Disseny Transportation Design students, were chosen to participate in the exhibition of industrial design specific proposals for the new units of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, organized by Alstom and FGC. The two projects selected for their originality and innovative nature will be exposed at Estació de Provença of FGC from December 22nd to January 9th

BIT project designed by Gerard Lorente and Marcel Moritz, stands out for its lighting and sign-spacing, inspired by the digital world where software gives to the objects their personality and function. The surfaces of BIT, Boundless Interactive Train, change to provide the information to the users, showing a great adaptability to any communication environment. The proposal offers a new way of understanding the communication between user and transport.

Deconstrucció
is the project of the students Ruben Oya and Guido Dodero, valued especially for its interior design inspired by the Gaudí trencadís technique. There are three seats areas: rest, tabourets with individual tables and folding seats to provide flexibility and wide corridors. It also powers the Catalan landscape focusing the users to the windows where the information is projected.
