Last November 10th IED Barcelona opened its new location at Biada 11 with more than 1000 attendants. Students, teachers, staff members, designers, friends, parents and journalists knew and enjoyed the spaces with different activities that took place during the whole day.
Alessandro Manetti, head of the school, leaded the press conference and the inauguration event where the vice-president of the Govern de Catalunya, Joana Ortega, and the major of Barcelona, Xavier Trias attended.
During the night, the opening party was filled of surprises as the mapping projected in the front wall of the patio, and a fashion show with outfits from former fashion students. Furthermore, former students of the Food Event Design course cooked and offered several caterings during the day with a creative gastronomic final performance.
Finally, the school hosts the exhibition of some of the best projects of the last 10 years designed by External Reference.
